Jellystone: Year Three

We enjoyed our third annual trip to Jellystone mid-July.
We were blessed with beautiful weather and wonderful friends.
This is the same duck Christian fell off of last year and smacked his head.
Rosie and Christian: BFF's

Short break from the water

Joe and a friend who happened to be at Jellystone the same weekend.

Our girl swam sans water wings the entire trip,
and was pretty darn proud of herself.

Beach Beauties

Can she have any more fun?

After a lovely day at the water park, the following morning
Amanda found this in the washer.

It was dead at least.

We called the Bat Guy to come and get it.

Unfortunately, shortly after he left I spotted a live one hanging on the wall above my head.
The Bat Girl came that time and got it with a net.
Apparently, they have a bat problem!

It was Christmas in July!

Burnsie and her lil' Burnsie

My bathing beauty.
I love this picture.
She looks so old and mature.
Yet, she's still so sweet and naive.

A quick ride on the Jellystone train.

We hit the arcade very quickly and in one token Rosie hit the 1,000 ticket jackpot!

S'mores are a must.

Because they make everyone so very happy.

Our Deluxe Villa.

Squeezing in as much fun as possible until we absolutely had to leave.

It was a perfectly prefect trip.

One that we should always remember not to let Amanda drive the golf cart...ever again.
After stalling going up the hill, which I actually thought I could push up.
Then the guys came down to just turn the key and it started back up.

Then the following day she ran over the electrical cord and chopped it in half.
We assumed they were going to charge us a small fortune for it.
Luckily the husbands went off and fixed it themselves for $25.
But I'm pretty sure Burnsie isn't going to live that down for many years to come!

Yogi is the perfect blend of family, friends, relaxation and entertainment.

We've begun looking forward to next year.
It will be so different with a baby next time!

Good-Bye Summer

Today is my last official day of Summer Vacation.  Every year about this time I blog about being sad about going back to work and leaving my kids.  Like I did here last year  and also in 2010.  But this year is different.

Maybe it's because I'm starting a new grade and it's really really exciting.
Maybe it's because Victoria will be right next door and she has a teacher I can actually trust this year.
Maybe it's because both kids are leading their own little lives while I'm at school and they're busy and happy.
Maybe it's because we're busy planning for Baby #3 and that's a very lovely distraction.
Maybe it's because we had an absolutely perfect summer that was well balanced between vacations, hanging out at home, crazy activity jam packed days, to lazy days that just required a walk to the park.

It really was a fabulous summer.  As usual, my Summer To Do List is not all checked off.  But that's ok.  There's always maternity leave.  I'm sure I'll get a lot done then;-)

Movin' Around

A couple days ago I thought I felt the baby move.  I was just over nine weeks and it was faint and quick so I wasn't sure.  But today I am certain!  I felt my unborn child move!

While we were at the park today I was rubbing my belly thinking about how great it will be when I can feel it move.  And the time is here!

I couldn't feel Victoria move until 16 weeks, Christian til 13 and #3 at just about 10.

It's so exciting growing this little human being.  Makes being so tired so so so worth it!

Tired of Being Tired

When you're pregnant most people say, "How are you feeling?" each and every time they see you.  My response is always the same, "I feel great, I'm just really tired."

Thankfully I've never had morning sickness in my life.  But with each and every pregnancy in the first trimester I am EXHAUSTED.  Tired like I've never felt.  Can't think straight..must be in bed early....naps are a necessity...lay in bed as long as possible in the morning...makes your body ache...exhausted.

I'd obviously take this over throwing up or being nauseous any and every day of the week.

But it's hard to get things done.  It takes the fun out of doing most things.  If I don't do it in the morning, it's most likely not going to get done.  Since I got back to work in one week, it's a little lot concerning.

But it is what it is.  I'm hoping within a month, when I'm in the second tri-mester, I'll have my energy back.

Besides that I LOVE being pregnant.  Sure I miss my Diet Cokes.  Sure it would be nice to have a beer or two when I go out to dinner.

But I really really LOVE being pregnant.  I LOVE maternity clothes.  I LOVE my growing belly.  I LOVE all the excitement and planning for this baby's arrival.  I LOVE the anticipation of feeling the baby move inside me.  I LOVE the thought of finding out if it's a boy or girl.  I LOVE the thought of my kids getting this amazing experience of having a new baby while they're old enough to enjoy and remember it.  I LOVE that my husband is beyond thrilled for this baby.

Even though I'm tired of being tired, it's so worth it!
